Jon goes back to the safe house and makes some delicious vegan brownies with Indy.
These are the best vegan brownies!!

1/4 cup Earth Balance Buttery Spread (room temp)
1/4 cup Earth Balance Shortening
1 cup http://full.sc/PRWAGS
3/4 cup silken tofu
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup almond milk
1 tbsp peanut butter
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2/3 cup flour
1/4 cup agave nectar

1. Pre- heat to 350 degrees.
2. In mixing bowl, add room temperature buttery spread and shortening and mix it together with a fork. Add sugar, baking powder, sea salt, cocoa powder and tofu. Mix it all together. Add vanilla extract, almond milk, agave nectar and peanut butter. Mix well. Add flour and stir in chocolate chips.
3. Line 8Γ—8 glassware dish with parchment paper and pour in batter. Spread out evenly and bake in oven for 40 to 45 min at 350 degrees. When you can put a toothpick in brownies and it comes out clean, it is done

I notice with your baking vids you tell people to test with a ‘small
stick.’ Huh? Who’s got a clean small stick around the house? People who
don’t cook get freaked out when they don’t have a specific ingredient or
tool; they don’t know how to substitute. Tell folks to test with a
toothpick (a very small stick, if you will) or a knife. They are more
likely to have those items available and won’t risk being eaten by zombies
when they go outside looking for small sticks.

I may not be vegan, but I love this channel since the dude is funny, the
recipe’s are good and I can cook now to appease my fiance’s diet/lifestyle.
Warning though, where I live its expensive for some of the ingredients but
we both have good enough jobs to afford the ingredients needed. Thankyou

  56. The Vegan Zombie on May 28, 2013: (Reply)

You could use steevia. You could use agave or coconut nectar but you’d have
to adjust the dry ingredients a bit.

    Earth Balance

  63. molochai on July 3, 2013: (Reply)

I tried this recipe and the brownies were DELICIOUS! they don’t sell vegan
butter here in Spain, so I used margarine and they came out great.

  64. DJ Phree on July 3, 2013: (Reply)

I understand that my friend, I think I typed with the emphasis on the wrong
syllable lol. I meant an alternative to the vegan butter alternative “Earth
Balance” such as an oil or something? Sorry for the misunderstanding. My
    english sucks booty.

  65. itsMinuteMaid on July 4, 2013: (Reply)

Couple questions. One, if I omit the chocolate chips as well as the agave,
will the brownies still be sweet enough? Also, I was thinking about adding
nuts. Have you tried that with this recipe, and how’d it come out?

  66. The Vegan Zombie on July 4, 2013: (Reply)

The chocolate chips you can leave out. Were you going to replace the agave
with anything else? The dry measurements may need to be adjusted if you do
this. I love walnuts and most others, but I absolutely hate them in
brownies and cookies so I’ve never added them to this recipe.

  67. The Vegan Zombie on July 4, 2013: (Reply)

    Glad you liked them!!

  68. itsMinuteMaid on July 4, 2013: (Reply)

Na, I was just gonna leave out the agave altogether. But it’s cool, I
lazied out and just bought a box of vegan brownie mix and some vegan egg
replacer. It’s probably gonna suck, but whatev. Thanks for the help tho.

  69. The Vegan Zombie on July 5, 2013: (Reply)

Yeah, vegan brownies are tricky, but after many attempts, this is the
    perfect recipe.
