You know me, I have a deep and meaningful relationship with , and darker the better!
Well let me tell you, these black bean brownies are so rich, so chocolate-y, so and -y you are going to be amazed #1 that they are Gluten Free and well, now we should know #2 is a bunch of gibberish because are freaking awesome!!

I have been vegan a while now and I have been super conflicted with my channel not being in alignment with my life and my beliefs
I am transitioning my channel/blog to align with my beliefs, I have been veg for 8+ years and have been in severe conflict here on my channel and when I owned my bakery by promoting the exploited animal industry, so I finally “got off the fence” and decided to stop being a hypocrite and follow my heart and soul passion.
I understand not everyone cares to be open to this kind of baking
(although I have been making some of my BEST recipes more recently!)
So I hope and wish that folks will be open minded and give me the same understanding for following my heart.
This has not been the case 100% so far, as I have sadly been met with anger and hatred
However others have been showing tremendous support and encouragement. I hope you will at least give it a chance. 🙂
I will not eliminate my old recipes and will still help you all with baking of any kind just like always!

So the other day I made chocolate chip cookies and this is a recipe I’ve always used and it’s always came out great but for some reason this last time when first of the dough was extremely sticky when I rolled them to put on a pan and then when they came out the oven they watery bad! I’ve heard that the weather outside could effect a dough if it’s humid out which it was that day it had been super humid that entire week, but can you tell me what I did wrong ? And how I could fix it in the future before wasting all that cookie dough ? thanks Gretchen I love your videos ?

Gretchen, my goodness black beans, I bet you can’t even taste them. I’m not surprised, they have black bean pasta and mung beans. They look so fudgy. I know you ate them all! Lol. I have a funny story to tell you, Monday I went for surgery, and had the last of my 3 wisdom teeth removed, and another tooth as well. So, on the operating table while I have the numbing gel with q-tips in my mouth, one of nurses was talking to the other nurse about a potluck dinner she had and some of people were vegan and she goes, “all they eat is vegetables, and I made a dessert for them and I had to use an egg replacer. I told her sounding like a wood chuck swallowing and almost chocking on the numbing gel, “You can use ground flax meal with hot water and that is another egg replacer.” She was shocked that you can use that. Then the surgeon started giving me the novacaine ouch! Lol.

Those look delicious, Gretchen! I’ve replaced wet ingredients with black beans in a box brownie mix and I couldn’t taste them. The flour mix was a bit cakey for my liking, so I’ll definitely give these fudgy flourless brownies a try.
Big thanks to you and Esther for this recipe!
