Thanks Dani! Quick question, do you happen to know the macros for this? it
seems this would be a slightly fattier option even though it is gluten
    free, am I right?

I am allergic to almonds, can I use a different nut butter? I have quite a
bit of food allergies mostly with fresh fruits. I can eat fruits with
thicker skin like bananas and oranges but fruits with thinner skin like
apples and especially pears I have to stay away from. Any suggestions on
how to eat clean with food allergies?

But i mean.. it has a lot of calories. Do you count them? Or think you that
you can eat how many you want because it’s clean? 🙂 it’s a very important
    question. Thank you 🙂

hi Dani I was wondering if you give me your thoughts on using peanut butter
instead of almond butter in the brownie recipe

  36. DanielinLaTuna on February 9, 2014: (Reply)

Thank you. I just subscribed, too. You do a very good job of explaining
things, especially what some folks would consider “obvious”. Started using
coconut oil, thanks to your explanation of its benefits. One question,
though: from my recent readings, agave syrup (nectar) is higher than even
high-fructose-corn-syrup in processed fructose. Would maple syrup be a
better choice? Or is the jury still out on agave? Thank you. 😉

Made these for my family last night, and my brother who absolutely HATES
almond butter said they were the best brownies he ever had!

Looks delicious! I will definitely will try this recipe. My mom can not eat
gluten, and is always awesome to find this recipes, and added to our menus.
    Thanks so much for sharing!

I made these but with organic peanut butter instead of almond butter. Maybe
I went wrong with the measurements or the peanut butter was a bad call
because these were way too rich and too sweet for me. I think 1 cup of
agave is overkill. I wouldn’t go more than 1/4 cup to half a cup. I write
this sitting here clutching my stomach one handed thinking the sugar rush
is gonna kill me. Love the channel so I mean no disrespect

Just made these to bring to work tomorrow. They are really tasty! I only
had agave in the house so I used that so they are not as sweet as I would
have liked but I will definitely go with the honey next time! Thanks for
    sharing Dani

  47. Tywana Sutton on February 15, 2014: (Reply)

Ok so I made these babies and they were awesome!! I’m a baker by trade so
while I can’t say they are the “best brownies” I’ve ever had, I can
honestly say they are the absolute best clean brownies I’ve ever made or
tasted, hands down!! This is a keeper!! Yippee :-)

I am HOOKED for life on these!!! Made them the other day and my boyfriend
who is the pickiest eater loved them! His mom took some to work and her
friend loved them so much she wanted the recipe. If you have a membership
or know someone who does, I found my Almond butter at Sam’s Club. The
almond butters I found in chain grocery stores had like 5-6+ ingredients.
Mine had two, almonds and salt.

Interesting recipe, although I would never use a whole cup of honey, that
is FAR too much. I have made low-carb brownies for years and only have to
use a tiny bit of honey for sweetener. Honey will raise your insulin level,
    causing fat to be stored.
