This is a great recipe for making brownies and the extra bonus is using the All American Sun and not heating up the house. The sun oven does not dry out your goods like conventional methods and leaves everything moist and fluffy.

We use the sun oven all year long and love cooking on it. Some of the best food we have cooked comes out of the ALL AMERICAN SUN OVEN and another good thing is that it is MADE IN AMERICA =)

About OFF GRID with DOUG and STACY:
We moved to our 11 acres in 2011 from a large city in the Midwest with zero carpentry and farming skills. We live with no solar / wind power / public water or well. We share our adventure to a sustainable life, growing our own food from vegetables to meat. We post videos DAILY and they range from HOW TO to EVERYDAY LIFE and NUTRITION on the off grid homestead. We were city folks just like you probably and wanted to enjoy life and have more control over our food. We share food recipes as well as remedies.

Oh my gosh, I know you didn’t mean it that way when you said: “I’m using Doug eggs because I like it fluffier” ;D Blame it on my german heritage ;))

That looks delicious! I know I have a gluten intolerance… but I love real bread too much to give it up…. lol. Maybe this might change my mind! 🙂

    That looks really yummy!
Question – In other recipes, is substituting arrow root for cornstarch equivalent measurements?

Maybe you said it and I missed but what temp did your sun oven reach or roughly run at? About how long did you leave it to bake. I think that is my biggest struggle at this time is getting the oven hot enough (needs to follow sun and I sometimes forget) and the amount of time I need to budget. Still love it but my learning curve seems to long due to my short attention span!

Anyone elses email notifications not coming thru? I have everything set right, and they have worked fine up until about a week ago. I have not been notified of any new vids for almost 2 weeks.

Please consider coming next year to the Mother Earth News Fair in Belton, Texas. We’ve been the last two years and love it. It is hard to choose which presentations to attend because they have so many great ones. I’m sure there are lots of Homestead Homies down here, in Texas.

Hey guys, I was just wondering if you could do an episode on kerosene lamps. When I use mine it gets real black. I know I’m doing something wrong, but I don’t know what. So if you can do something on the care and lighting, I’d appreciate it. Thanks. CiCi
