Dani, this looks incredible!! After going on an AIP meal plan for health
reasons last June, the biggest thing I miss eating is brownies!! Thank you
so much for sharing this. Your video editing is so fun and vibrant. Loved
the visual of the difference between the butter and the avocado. And your
description was so fun when you said, “The flavor is chocolate chocolate
chocolate with a little kiss of banana.” Love that!! You use fresh,
descriptive language that makes me want to try this recipe out ASAP. Hope
your projects are going well! ~Adrienne

Mine are in the oven right now and if they taste as good when they come out
as the batter did, they are not going to last long! The only problem is, is
that they will not cool down before bedtime… BTW I subbed the cocoa power
for carob powder. Thank you for another fab recipe!

Just made them and they’ve got a bit of a bitter after taste. I mightve put
too much salt and too much maple syrup.. they’re still good though! I
replaced the banana with unsweetened apple sauce.

    can I substitute the eggs?

  68. GhoulishCop on March 13, 2016: (Reply)

I made these yesterday. They are really very good. You don’t taste the
avocado at all, and for me it was the barest hint of banana flavor so even
people that don’t like or want the taste of bananas don’t have to fear
them. What I like best is that unlike regular brownies, these don’t get
hard when left out, but stay nice and moist. Excellent recipe!

  69. spoonb16acrx2003 on March 13, 2016: (Reply)

so glad ur back, can u do more meal preps and lunch ideas for work. that’s
the hardest thing for me is what to have for lunch

  70. Cooking Lessons for Dad on March 13, 2016: (Reply)

I need to try those! The calorie comparison between butter and avocados is
    crazy!

  71. May Buboo on March 13, 2016: (Reply)

I just tried these and they taste really good. I was really hesitant trying
these but I have never gone wrong with your recipes so I went for it. I
have had the horrible experience of tasting cooked avocado and I was
constantly pausing to decide whether i should continue and risk all the
other ingredients. But I did, because I trust you and it was worth it.
    Thank you!

Also, anyone who is hesitant about this recipe they taste great! I used
Applesauce and they were delicious!!It’s interesting how you can’t taste
the avocado at all and the brownie turns out so rich!

  72. Amanda Stanley on March 13, 2016: (Reply)

I just popped these in the oven! I’m taking care of someone who just got
home from the hospital (they can eat normally) and are craving some real
flavour! I added a tablespoon of melted dark chocolate into the batter for
a little more of a treat.

  73. vanillahearts62 on March 13, 2016: (Reply)

I made these today. My oven cooked them a bit more than yours, so they
weren’t ooey gooey, but they were still ok. Definitely not as rich as a
regular brownie, but very chocolately, so if you are craving chocolate, it
is a good fit. I wouldn’t say reach for it if you were craving brownies
though. I think they are too different. But I really appreciate a healthier
recipe, and one that contains coconut flour to boot! Thank you very much
    Dani :)

  74. Nancy Khuu on March 13, 2016: (Reply)

This is such good timing. I was looking for ways to use up my coconut flour
that I never seem to use, some over roped bananas and I’m craving brownies.
Perfect! I might try to switch to half maple syrup half sugar free syrup
though. Hope it won’t change the taste too much.
