Hey guys! I’m really excited to share this delicious with you! I’ve created this myself using healthier, more natural ingredients than a traditional and they are the yummiest I’ve ever eaten. Serve them to your friends and family warm from the oven with ice-cream or berries – or both! 🙂

FAQ: (there’s been lots of the same questions in the comment section of this video)

‘This isn’t -free because eggs are !’ – Eggs are actually not a product! products come from cows, sheep, goats. Eggs come from a chicken! 🙂

‘Coconut Oil contains saturated fat which is really bad for you!’ – Not all saturated fat is bad for you surprisingly. It’s fine if it naturally occurs like in coconut oil and it’s not man-made. Read more here: http://bit.ly/1bSMGWq

‘If you’re going to have a treat, why not go all out and have a regular brownie?!’ – in my opinion, it’s about a healthy , so even when I have a treat, I want it to not be a load of white sugar and butter. I’d much rather have a treat made with ingredients that are natural and contain some kind of goodness. That’s just me, you guys can do whatever you like. 🙂

INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED TO MAKE MY BROWNIES:

– 1/2 cup Coconut Oil
– 300g Dark (you can use 150g milk & 150g dark if you don’t like too much dark – I love it though as I think the dark makes it taste like rich pudding!)
– 2 cups Coconut Sugar (you can replace this with regular caster sugar
or brown sugar if you want to! I just use Coconut sugar as it’s better for you.)
– cap full of Vanilla Extract
– 1 cup Ground Almonds
– 1 mashed Avocado
– 1 tsp Baking Powder
– 3 Eggs

This recipe is gluten free and dairy free.

Thanks Tanya! I’ve tried a few different brownie recipes with avocado and
these are by far the best! You can’t even taste the avocado! And the
coconut oil makes them extra delicious :)

My mum is allergic to all nuts and is also celiac. I want to make her these
for a treat but need some alternatives for the ground almonds and the
things that could cause celiac problems. Does anyone have an ideas?
    Thanks

Your right about what you wrote in the description box. These brownies
probably taste just as nice as normal brownies. And whats better than to
know than that you are having a healthy alternative to a sweet treat, and
it tastes just as nice! That is really clever!

Is there anybody, who knows, how big the cups are – or how many grams they
have? In my country we usually don´t work with them, so I´m struggling with
    the measures.

Tanya i’m sorry but you are obviously not a dietitian or nutritionist and
i’m studying to be one. You are not giving people correct information …
You should not talk about health claims when you do not know enough about
    them

bars add a little extra sugar

  26. Charlotte Spada on July 18, 2014: (Reply)

I understand that some of these ingredients are better for you than butter
and other things that may go into normal brownies, but there is not much
scientific evidence from peer reviewed and published journals to suggest
that butter and sugar are bad for you in small quantities. In addition in
think it is detrimental to explain these things to many viewers who trust
your opinion without having the information from a true scientific journal.
There are many cases in which people on the internet claim things are
healthy and gather a following without any scientific evidence to back them
up. If you were a dietician, nutritionist, or doctor I could trust your
opinion, but without any background in human or cell physiology I don’t
think you should make these claims. I have a degree in biology so I’m not
    just coming out of nowhere.

I accidentally forgot to put the baking powder in.. They are almost exactly
the same as they were the other four-five times I’ve made them though 🙂
And I didn’t put an avocado in either. I’ve made them with and without
avocado, and it doesn’t make THAT big a difference. So if you don’t have
avocados, you can still bake these delicious brownies!! 😀

Tanya, thank you so much for creating these delicious brownies and sharing
them with us!! They’re now the only cake that I ever crave 😛 Please make

Coconut sugar has a high GI and still affects your insulin levels the same
way white or brown sugar do. However coconut sugar is less processed and
contains some mineral even though you would have to eat tons of it to
    really benefit from eating it.

I just made the brownies. Although it tastes decent… its a long way from
the best even though its healthy. Googling healthy brownies or brownies
with avocado and getting from a cooking site would be better in my
opionion. There is way too much sugar, 1 cup would have been fine (I used
70% cacao even). 1 cup coconut oil is way too much too because there is an
avocado that consists mainly of oils. Also she does not put what size glass
dish she used. I used 8 X 8inches and it was too small. I would use 9×9 or
a rectangular one. I hope this helps it someone wants to make them. These
    are just my opinions
