Talk about the perfect combination! You can't go wrong with either japanese mochi or brownies. Put them together and you've got yourself something pretty amazing. You can definitely make your own brownies from scratch, but I'm the impatient type. I want my dessert now! LOL!
Let me know if you've tried any of my recipes. I'd love to see your creations.
ingredients:
1 box brownie mix
2 eggs
3 tbsp water
1/2 canola oil
MOCHI INGREDIENTS:
1 cup mochiko flour
1/3 cup sugar
Pinch of salt
1 cup hot water
Directions: (Preheat oven to 350 degrees)
1.) Combine mochiko flour, sugar, salt. Use a whisk to mix well. Add hot water and use a spatula to mix. Cover with saran wrap or press and seal, and microwave for 1 min. Then, carefully remove covering and mix well. Repeat this microwave/mixing process 2 more times.
2.) Prepare brownie batter following package instructions.
3.) Using a 2 quart baking pan, spray some nonstick spray. Layer with parchment paper.
4.) Pour about 1/4 of the brownie batter into the baking pan.
5.) Spray nonstick spray onto a mini scooper and scoop balls of mochi over brownie batter.
6.) Pour the remaining brownie batter over the mochi.
7.) bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 min.
8.) Let it cool for 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
9.) Enjoy!
