Chris Morroco in the Test Kitchen: a beacon of organization and calm, omniscient and omnipotent:
Chris Morroco in self-quarantine: a slowly unravelling dad who, imo, needs a glass of wine and a foot massage.

I adore that Sohla’s parents just let her bake a birthday cake every single day for a period of time lol

Start paying Sohla and Priya and Christina for their videos. Stop a culture of racism at BA.

Sohla invented brownie churros and y’all didn’t PAY HER FOR IT??? Shame. SHAME.

Massively disappointed in what has come to light today. Rapo has resigned, that is a start…but more needs to happen with BA/Conde Nast starting with compensating your contributors. After seeing Sohla, Alex Lau, Hunzi, Hawa and others bring the behind the scenes truth, my heart broke. This channel has been a major comfort to me for the past 4 years but it turns out it was largely free labor and time being given for many who worked there who deserved more for what they have given us fans.

i always thought it was really weird how we never see black people on this show and there are no black editors. Along with paying current BIPOC talent fair wages, also commit to having real diversity of not only personalities, but also cuisines! I want to see more African food depicted here. Until all of this is made right, I will be unsubscribing.

I cannot applause sohla’s bravery for speaking about systematic racism against people of color enough. I’m glad he resigned but the media narrative isn’t right. He steps down not because of painting his face brown once but oppressing workers for years. I find that somewhat problematic because people who only read the titles can defend him but in fact he is just a racist

how is sohla getting paid 50k and shes literally the most genius one

Repost: Fire Adam Rapoport, he’s a racist. Pay Sohla, Priya, Gaby, Christina, and every person of color at bon appetit FAIR WAGES. AT LEAST as much as their white coworker!

It’s really disappointing that a source of feel-good escapism is just as subject to pedestrian prejudice as anything else today. Sohla has been a bright spot for so many people and it saddens me that she was put in uncomfortable situations with insufficient compensation for our entertainment and your “diversity.”

MORE ADS THAN ALMOST EVERYONE BUT YOU CAN’T PAY PEOPLE WHO MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER LIKE SOHLA

  12. ABT stuff on June 9, 2020: (Reply)

Deeply hurt, deeply disappointed. Would the pay issue even have been revealed if a WOC hadn’t revealed it? Would the white editors have ever said anything? If the brownface hadn’t surfaced, would this abuse just continued? People need to be held accountable at the GET GO. No more waiting for abuse to happen! I stand with Sohla, I stand for pay transparency, I stand with representation WITHOUT the need for public pressure! Yall should be doing this without people yelling at you!
Haven’t been hurt by a company like this in a long time, but this is unfortunately not special or rare. We have to reform workplace transparency and safety COMPLETELY or this will continue to happen.

Hopefully Rapoport didn’t spread the brownie mix on his face.
