Samoa Brownies (Caramel/Coconut topped Brownies)-with yoyomax12

1 brownie mix or a brownie recipe that makes a brownie that fits into an 8×8″ or 9×9″ pan.
14 oz can of caramel flavoured (dulce de leche) sweetened condensed
2 cups (7oz, 200g) sweetened flaked
1/4 evaporated milk (I did not use this)
1/2 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips, melted.

Bake brownies according to package or recipe directions and allow to cool completely (or almost completely).
Place your on a cookie sheet lined with foil or parchment and spread it evenly.
Bake 350 F for 5 minutes, remove and stir.
Put it back in for another 3 minutes and check it. Stir.
If you have a lot of white left, but it back in for another 2 minutes or so. Crouch down by the oven door and watch the coconut this stage, it burns VERY quickly.
Place the dulce de leche condensed in a large bowl and cook in the microwave on high for 2-3 minutes.
Stir in and spread the mixture over the brownies.
Drizzle the chocolate over the top of the mixture and chill brownies until cool.
I stored these in the refrigerator.

The original recipe asks that you combine 1/4 cup of evaporated with the dulce de leche before heating it in the microwave. I think that their dulce de leche was thicker than mine and needed to be thinned? I found that this recipe was perfect without the additional milk when using Eagle Brand Dulce De Leche flavoured sweetened condensed milk.

    This reminds me very much about the Danish “drømmekage” which translates to
    “dream cake”, except it uses a white cake and not brownie. But it’s a very
    traditional cake here in Denmark and everyone loves it because of the
    coconut-caramel topping! :)

    It looks almost like the Danish dream cake. That’s a light fluffy vanilla
    sponge with coconut/caramel un top. Those are sooooo good and are loved by
    almost every Dane I think. Tell me if you want a recipe so you can try it

    +yoyomax12 could you please make chocolate mint slice without coconut I’d
    love to see you make it ❤️❤️ here the recipe

    1- set oven to 180 degrees fan forced

    2- line pan with baking paper

    3- add 1 3/4 cups flour, 1/3 cups coco powder,and 1/2 a cup of icing sugar

    Into a bowl and mix then add 200g of melted butter mix well.

    4- press into pan evenly then cook for 15 mins and let cool

    5- add 2 table spoons of milk, half of the copha shortening (80g) and 2 1/4
    cups of icing sugar in a small sauce pan mix over low heat (2) and cook for
    4mins or untill smooth

    6- stir in 1-2 caps of pepper mint essence and 1-4 drops of food colouring
    working quickly take off heat and pour ontop of chilled base sit in fridge
    for 1h or untill set.

    7- melt 300g of dark chocolate and the rest of the copha shortening (80g)
    together and pour ontop of the slice

    9- place into fridge overnight or untill set firm
