Ingredients (Makes 16 brownies)

4 at room temperature
2 cups
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup melted unsalted butter — cooled down
1 ¼ cups unsweetened –sifted
½ cup flour — sifted
1 tsp. salt

Heat oven to 300 degrees F and prep a square brownie pan by buttering and flouring it.

Mix the sifted flour, cocoa and salt in a bowl.

Place the eggs in a bowl and beat until they are pale — about 3 minutes. Add the sugar and mix. Add the vanilla and butter and mix. Do not over beat, just mix it. Add the flour and cocoa and mix. Again, do not over beat, just mix it.

Pour the batter into the pan and place it in the oven. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Remove from the oven and cool down completely — about 3 hours.

Once the brownies are completely cooled, cut them into squares.

Serve and enjoy!

    this recipe is rubbish as the temperature is too high you wasted my
    ingredients and time 300 degrees burnt them to crisp in 10 mins my oven
    doesn’t even go too 300 degrees so i put it on the highest which is 250
    degrees and it burnt thanks a lot

    This batter was definitely thicker than what the boxed mixes are. But,
    these were delicious. I only had salted butter, so I used that and skipped
    the salt. 🙂

    People can actually cook your recipes because we already buy these
    ingredients.

    Just wondering… you don’t need to add sugar? wouldn’t the brownies have
    no sweetness to it as you’re using unsweetened cocoa? I know you’re adding
    vanilla extract, but are you sure they’re sweet enough? Also, instead of
    vanilla extract, can I add vanilla essence instead? I’m not sure if it’ll
    turn out/taste the same as the one you’re making. And, I might just add
    some nuts right before I place it in the oven. 🙂 This video by far, the
    most simplest way to make brownies! Looks delish. Thank you! I hope you can
    respond asap as I would like to make these for my brothers birthday
    tomorrow.

    For you guys that are wondering if vegetable oil can be used instead of
    butter, I used it and the result was pretty good! They were fudgey, moist,
    delicious and chocolatey! Also, my first time making brownies and I used
    cupcake molds for this so that they’d be ready a little faster~ I do think
    that butter would be a little better, but both ways are delicious!

    what was the stuff you put in, when you said vanilla and why did it have
    that consistency?
    as i know vanilla it is a longer, thin black .. fruit and one uses the
    middle which might be moist, but never liquid. i also know this stuff in
    the middle dried as powder or that mixed with sugar, but… what did you
    use?

    Hey +The Frugal Chef, I made these brownies, and wasn’t very impressed. Not
    enough sugar nor flour, and too much cocoa, made it like a solid cocoa
    paste :(. It’s very spongy. but not fudgy and moist like a brownie should
    be.

    I’ve made brownies from the box of my cocoa powder before, and it contained
    much more sugar and flour, and turned out amazing. I made it with
    milkchocolate containing nuts, and it was the most amazing cake I’ve ever
    had!
