Cookie Dough Brownies

This recipe for Layer Brownies guarantees each bite to tickle your taste buds.
  1. 2 cups sugar
  2. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  3. 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  4. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  5. 1 cup vegetable oil
  6. 4 eggs
  7. 2 teaspoons extract
  1. 1/2 cup ( 1 stick) butter
  2. 1/4 cup sugar
  3. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  4. 2 Tablespoons milk
  5. 1 teaspoon extract
  6. 1 cup all-purpose flour
Chocolate Topping Layer
  1. 2 cup (12 ounces) semisweet
  2. 2 tablespoon butter
*Optional -Chocolate Sauce To Squeeze On Top
  1. 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
  2. 1 2/3 cups white sugar
  3. 1 cup water
  4. 1 teaspoon extract
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Grease a 9 inch by 13 inch pan.
  3. In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine sugar, cocoa, flour and salt. Add oil, eggs and vanilla, and beat on medium speed for about three minutes.
  4. Pour mixture into prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely.
  1. In a medium bowl, combine butter with white and brown sugars.
  2. Add milk and and mix until combined. Then add the flour. Spread this over the cooled brownie.
Chocolate Topping Layer
  1. On the stovetop over medium heat or in the microwave in short time increments, melt the semisweet chocolate chips with a tablespoon of butter and spread over the layer. You never want to heat chocolate too fast or too hot as it destroys the texture of the chocolate.
*Optional - Chocolate Sauce Layer
  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cocoa, sugar and water. Bring to a boil and let boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Let cool.
  2. Put the chocolate sauce into a piper or a small plastic bag where you cut a tip off one corner. Squeeze onto each piece of Brownie when you cut and serve.
